This legendary actor will be awarded an Honorary Oscar this year!

Jackie Chan, one of the most popular actors we know will now have a reason to celebrate. He will be honored with an Oscar for his extraordinary achievements in the world of cinema on November 12. As per reports, Chan will accept the Oscar alongside fellow honorees, film editor Anne Coates, casting director Lynn Stalmaster and documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman at the Governors Awards.

“The Honorary Award was created for artists like Jackie Chan, Anne Coates, Lynn Stalmaster and Frederick Wiseman —— true pioneers and legends in their crafts,” revealed Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs. The board was extremely proud and was more than happy to celebrate this martial arts hero’s achievements.

Now one of his co-stars is already gushing about this Award. In fact, she believes this veteran actor totally deserves it. And we second that. This co-star is also a known Bollywood actress. Care to take a guess? It’s none other than Mallika Sherawat!

And now, she posted this video of Jackie Chan and it’s too cute for words! Why you ask? Because he’s trying to prove to her, that he too can dance and sing to a Bollywood song and his attempt is hilariously cute! No wonder Mallika is in splits in the video. He is prancing around, waving his hands in the air with a goofy expression on his face. And he ends with his signature action moves! Also would you believe if we told you this superstar is 62! Yes, that’s right! Don’t you feel like watching the video on loop because of his adorable antics?

Chan is known for his acrobatic fighting style, comic timing, use of improvised weapons, and innovative stunts, in his movies. His first major breakthrough was the 1978 film, Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow.His first Hollywood film was The Big Brawl in 1980. Chan succeeded in establishing a foothold in the US with his 1995 film Rumble in the Bronx.

Recently, his movie skiptrace has also opened to positive reviews at the box office. Wisnotn CHao who played the villain in Rajiniaknth’s Kabali is also part fo Chan’s movie. In fact, Chan wanted to screen the Tamil verison of this movie, just for Rajinikanth. Well, it’s great to see one superstar bonding with another!
