Here’s why Tiger Shroff refused to play in the celebrity football match held in Delhi recently

The celebrity match was played between B-town stars and politicians!

Though most of the Gen Next actors including Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan are seen playing sports like football and cricket, Tiger Shroff stays away from outdoor sports and prefers gymnastics. Says a source, “The young actor was not a part of the star-studded charity football match that was played in Delhi a few weeks ago.Shroff Jr declined politely saying he didn’t want to get hurt. He was shooting for his next film and an injury would have affected the shoot resulting in loss of money and dates.” Sensible boy, we say. Better than being an adrenalin junkie who does his own stunts, suffers injuries, resulting in shooting being cancelled for weeks at the producer’s expense.
Tiger’s last release was A Flying Jatt. It failed to impress anyone but kids. Earlier in an interview with IANS he had said “I am lucky that most of my fan following is made of kids, so I try to choose my characters accordingly. They (children) are the future of our country and I want to do very clean, noble characters so that I don’t wrongly influence them through my films. It’s all for my kiddy fans,”
Tiger  said this is for the first time he is experimenting with action and comedy. “I just hope critics appreciate my work in this film. This is for the first time I am experimenting with action and comedy. I think we have done a great job,” he said
A Flying Jat saw  Tiger portray a flawed Punjabi superhero who is still coming to terms with his powers. The film also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Nathan Jones.
Tiger says a lot of his fans are children and that’s why he wants to essay clean and noble characters on screen.
Filmmaker Karan Johar on August 15 announced sequel of the 2012 film “Student of the year” (SOTY) with actor Tiger Shroff as the male lead.
Karan took to Twitter to confirm the news that was doing the rounds about Tiger being roped in for Student of the Year 2.
He posted: “It’s official…Directed by Punit Malhotra ‘Student of the Year 2’ (‘SOTY2’) with Tiger Shroff.”
Tiger, who is awaiting the release of his superhero film “A Flying Jatt”, is excited to be part of the project.
Tiger tweeted: “Wound up and charged sir! Yahoo Karan Johar, Punit Malhotra, ‘Student of the Year 2’.”
“Student of the Year” is a coming-of-age romantic comedy, which was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and in collaboration with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s production banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
Directed by Karan, the film marked the debut of actors Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.
